THE STRATEGY
IS DONE.
Now Build It.
The hardest part of a technology roadmap isn’t the vision. It’s the execution. Most organizations can identify what they need to build. Very few have the frontier expertise to build it correctly — at speed, at scale, with the cross-industry intelligence to avoid the pitfalls no internal team has seen before. That’s where M7 implementation begins.
The Execution Gap
Why Good Strategies
Stall at Implementation

Internal teams lack the frontier expertise. Most technology teams are optimized for maintaining what exists, not deploying what’s new.

Vendor selection goes wrong. Without deep category knowledge, brands end up with vendor pitches instead of objective analysis — and make expensive bets on the wrong horse.

Speed is lost to process. Internal approval cycles, procurement, and governance slow execution until the market window closes. The strategy is still right — but now everyone else is doing it too.

There’s no measurement framework. Initiatives launch without clear KPIs — making it impossible to demonstrate ROI internally or justify the next investment.

No one to own the handoff. The strategy firm hands over a deck. The internal team doesn’t know how to run with it. The roadmap gathers dust.
Why Implementation Fails
THE PLAN
WAS FINE.
The Build Wasn’t.
The graveyard of enterprise technology initiatives is full of projects that had brilliant strategies and failed executions. The insight was right. The timing was right. The budget was approved. And then the build phase arrived — and there was no one in the organization qualified to lead it, no framework to evaluate vendors, and no way to measure whether any of it was working.
M7 was built to close this gap. We sit at the intersection of three worlds that almost never overlap: frontier technology depth, Fortune 500 client experience, and MIT-backed research intelligence. When a strategy needs to go from document to deployed, we’re the firm that bridges those worlds.
We don’t do implementation for its own sake. We do it because a strategy that doesn’t ship is just an expensive slide deck. And we’ve spent a decade making sure our clients never mistake one for the other.
WE HAVE A ROADMAP. WHY DO WE NEED M7?
Because a roadmap tells you where to go. M7 knows which roads are real, which vendors are vaporware, and which technical approaches will hold up at scale — because we’ve navigated the same terrain for a dozen other organizations in different industries.
HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM AN AGENCY BUILD?
Agencies build to spec. M7 builds to outcome. The difference is the intelligence we bring to every implementation decision — vendor evaluation, technology selection, measurement architecture — that most agencies don’t have because they haven’t done it enough times in enough contexts.
CAN YOU IMPLEMENT STRATEGIES WE BUILT OURSELVES?
Yes. M7 implementation works with both M7-originated strategies and strategies developed elsewhere. We don’t require that we designed the plan to execute it. What we do require is genuine deployment intent — if the goal is another deck, we’re the wrong firm.
WHAT IF WE ONLY NEED PART OF THE IMPLEMENTATION?
M7 can engage at any stage of implementation — vendor selection only, technical oversight only, measurement framework only, or end-to-end from strategy-to-live. Every implementation engagement is scoped to match where the organization actually is.

Common Entry Points
FIVE MOMENTS
ORGANIZATIONS
Call M7.
Implementation engagements don’t all start from the same place. These are the five most common situations that bring organizations to M7 for implementation support.
#
The Situation
What M7 Does
01
POST-KEYNOTE: NOW WHAT?
The keynote landed. The room left inspired. Leadership wants to act. But between the energy in the room and a deployed product is a gap no one internally knows how to bridge.
M7 takes the crawl/walk/run playbook from the keynote and turns it into a scoped implementation plan — with vendors, timelines, budgets, and KPIs identified. From inspiration to roadmap to build.
02
STRATEGY DONE, EXECUTION STALLED
The consultancy delivered a comprehensive technology strategy. It’s excellent. But six months later, nothing has shipped — because the strategy firm doesn’t build things and the internal team doesn’t know what to do first.
M7 steps in as the implementation partner — evaluating what the strategy calls for, identifying the highest-confidence first bets, selecting vendors, and leading the build from brief to live deployment.
03
VENDOR PITCH PARALYSIS
Six vendors have pitched the same solution. All the decks look impressive. None of the internal stakeholders have the technical depth to know which vendor is real — and which is selling vaporware at premium pricing.
M7 conducts an objective vendor evaluation — stress-testing claims against our developer network intelligence and active product roadmap knowledge. We tell you which one is actually built, not just sold, and why.
04
PILOT NEEDS TO SCALE
A proof-of-concept worked. The internal business case was made. Now the pilot needs to become a production deployment — but the team that ran the pilot doesn’t have the capacity or expertise to do it at scale.
M7 bridges the gap between pilot and production — redesigning the architecture for scale, rebuilding the measurement framework for enterprise use, and managing the full production deployment from spec to go-live.
05
CAPABILITY TRANSFER NEEDED
The organization has been relying on external partners for too long. Leadership has decided this capability needs to live internally — but there’s no internal team with the knowledge to build and run it.
M7 designs and implements a capability transfer program — building the internal team’s knowledge, frameworks, vendor relationships, and measurement systems so the organization can run these programs independently within 12–18 months.
The Playbook
HOW M7
Executes.
Every M7 implementation follows the same underlying framework — a six-phase process designed to move from strategic intent to live deployment with maximum clarity and minimum wasted spend.
01
Phase One
INTAKE & ALIGNMENT
Before a single vendor is evaluated or a line of code is written, M7 establishes a shared understanding of what success looks like — in measurable terms. KPIs are agreed upon, timelines are stress-tested, and the implementation scope is locked. No ambiguity survives this phase.
02
Phase Two
INTAKE & ALIGNMENT
M7 conducts an objective evaluation of the technology landscape and vendor field — using developer network intelligence, MIT research partnerships, and direct product roadmap access that no other firm brings to this process. The output: a clear recommendation, not a list of options.
03
Phase Three
BUILD ARCHITECTURE & SCOPING
Technical architecture is defined, project scope is locked, and the build plan is documented against the KPIs established in Phase One. Every subsequent decision in the build references back to this document — preventing scope creep, budget overrun, and the slow drift away from the original intent.
04
Phase Four
BUILD & QUALITY OVERSIGHT
M7 leads the build — either as the primary builder or as the technical oversight layer over selected vendors. No milestone clears without M7 sign-off against the agreed spec. The client’s organization has full visibility at every stage. Nothing is handed over untested.
05
Phase Five
DEPLOYMENT & GO-LIVE
Live deployment, with M7 present through launch. Rollout is staged where possible — establishing baseline metrics before full audience exposure, allowing fast course-correction if early signals suggest optimization is needed before scale.
06
Phase Six
MEASUREMENT & HANDOFF
Post-launch measurement against the KPIs from Phase One. M7 produces a clear performance report — what moved, what didn’t, and why. The handoff to the internal team includes documentation, vendor relationships, and the ongoing measurement framework to sustain and optimize the deployment independently.
Deliverables
NOT A DECK.
A Deployed
PRODUCT.
Every M7 implementation engagement closes with a defined set of deliverables — tangible outputs that the organization owns and can operate independently after M7’s engagement ends.

LIVE DEPLOYED PRODUCT
From GenAI integration to AI-first search optimization (GEO/AEO/LLMO) — deploying AI strategies for brands navigating the shift to AI-native discovery and operations. Includes vendor selection, model deployment, and performance measurement frameworks.
The primary deliverable. Everything else supports this

TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION
Full technical documentation of what was built, how it works, and how to maintain and optimize it — written for the internal team that will own the product after M7’s engagement closes.
Delivered at close of engagement

MEASUREMENT FRAMEWORK & BASELINE
A measurement architecture established before launch, with baseline metrics captured at go-live and a reporting framework the internal team can run independently going forward.
Established in Phase One, maintained throughout

VENDOR EVALUATION REPORT
A documented vendor evaluation — the options considered, the criteria applied, the recommendation made, and the rationale. This becomes an internal asset the organization can reference for future procurement decisions in the same technology category.
Delivered at end of Phase Two

OPTIMIZATION & NEXT-PHASE ROADMAP
M7’s post-launch recommendation for what to optimize in the first 90 days and what the logical next phase of deployment looks like.
Delivered at close of engagement

VENDOR RELATIONSHIPS & CONTACTS
Direct introductions to the technical partners and vendors used — so the internal team inherits the relationships, not just the product. No black boxes
Transferred at project close
Honest Fit Assessment
IS M7
The Right Firm
FOR THIS?
M7 implementation is a specific offering for a specific type of organization. This is when we are the right choice — and when we are not.
✓ M7 Is the Right Firm When…
- You have a real deployment intent — not an internal innovation showcase or a board-level optics play
- The technology sits in one of M7’s eight verticals: AI, AR/VR, voice, IoT/NFC, Web3, drones, gaming, or emerging media
- You have budget approved for implementation — not for evaluating whether to implement
- You need cross-industry intelligence, not just execution — a partner who brings pattern recognition from 20+ deployments across industries, not just one
- There is an internal champion who will own the relationship and drive internal decisions — M7 needs a counterpart, not a committee
- You care about measuring what gets built — and are willing to define KPIs before the first line of code is written
✗ M7 Is Not the Right Firm When…
- The goal is an innovation showcase with no plan to deploy — M7 does not build things that sit on a shelf
- You need broad marketing execution — TV production, media buying, social management, PR. That’s not M7.
- You need the cheapest possible vendor to execute a defined spec. M7 brings expertise, not commodity labor.
- The internal decision-making process requires 12+ months to approve a vendor. The technology will have moved before the contract is signed.
- You want someone to validate a decision already made — M7 gives objective counsel, not confirmation of what leadership has already decided to do
- The project has no measurable outcome defined and leadership is not willing to define one. If success is subjective, M7 is the wrong partner.
How We Engage
TWO PRIMARY
Models.
Most M7 implementation engagements fall into one of two structures — a bounded project engagement for defined scope, or an ongoing implementation partnership for organizations with a continuous pipeline of technology deployments.
Defined Scope
PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
Scoped per project
Typical range: $50K–$300K+
based on technology vertical, complexity, and scale
A bounded implementation engagement with defined deliverables, timeline, and budget. Covers the full six-phase M7 implementation process — from intake and vendor evaluation through live deployment and post-launch measurement. Right for organizations with a specific deployment in scope.
- Full six-phase implementation process
- Vendor evaluation and selection support
- Build oversight and QA throughout
- Live deployment with M7 present
- Post-launch measurement and optimization roadmap
- Full documentation and vendor relationship transfer
Ongoing Pipeline
IMPLEMENTATION PARTNERSHIP
Retainer basis
Custom scoped · Typically integrated with ongoing consultation
For organizations building a sustained pipeline of emerging technology deployments — M7 as the embedded implementation partner across multiple projects, verticals, and timelines. Most often structured in conjunction with M7’s ongoing consultation offering.
- Priority intake across multiple concurrent projects
- Continuous vendor and technology landscape monitoring
- Quarterly implementation roadmap planning
- Cross-project intelligence sharing
- Capability transfer and internal team development
- Integrated measurement across all active deployments
All R&D project pricing is scoped on a per-project basis. The ranges above are directional — final scope, timeline, and investment depend on technology vertical, deployment complexity, and audience scale. If you have a project in mind but aren’t sure of the scope, the best first step is a 30-minute discovery call. We’ll tell you what it takes.
